Neil Brook, Managing director
Neil took the helm in 1995. Since then, he’s seen Moorgate successfully expand and relocate to larger premises. Neil’s core concern is customer satisfaction and he believes Moorgate delivers this alongside our flexible approach to doing business.

Linda Brook, Director
Director, Linda, has been a part of the team for more than 19 years and is integral to the smooth running of all of our operations.
Her efficient and helpful approach to identifying customers’ needs ensures an excellent service throughout.
Neil and Linda are supported by a highly experienced and skilled team made up of the pick of the material handling industry’s engineers and support staff.
Courtney Brook, Operations Manager
Courtney is our Business Operations Manager. Courtney ensures all processes are followed in order to provide customers with excellent service. Her expertise in business and communications help drive the day-to-day operations of Moorgate.
Courtney loves being part of a close-knit team who work well together and laugh every day. If you are looking to hire a new vehicle, purchase a refurbished model, or inquire about repairs or maintenance, Courtney is typically the first point of contact.
Chris Scarlett, Field Service Engineer
Chris has been at Moorgate for over 16 years and has over 25 years in the material handling industry. Coming from an electrical engineering background, Chris specialises in repairing and maintaining the forklift and pallet trucks that go through Moorgate’s busy workshop.
Working on a variety of different sized trucks, he values the friendly atmosphere at work whilst still delivering excellent customer service.
Danny Jakeman, Service Manager
With over 15 years’ field experience under his belt, Danny joined the Moorgate team in the summer of 2017. With big jobs or small he isn’t afraid to get his hands stuck in and ensure all work is completed to a high standard.
Danny loves Moorgate’s friendly and honest approach to dealing with customers new and old, and is enjoying continuing his journey as part of the team.
Neil Thompson, Field Service Engineer
Neil is a field service engineer and spends his time visiting customer sites to survey, service and repair their forklift trucks. Neil has been an engineer for decades and previously ran his own car garage. His background means he has a strong understanding of mechanics, as well as business operations.
Nail is already an expert hand in the world of forklifts, and is perfectly suited to helping our customers with the engineering work they need.
Trevor Mortimer, Training Manager
Trevor is the Training Manager at Moorgate. He’s been with the team freelance since 2021 and joined full-time in 2022. Trevor brings 35 of forklift driving experience to his role and has undertaken an impressive 27 driving tests on various mechanical handling equipment.
Due to his expertise and accredited instructor status with RTITB, Trevor can deliver extensive forklift driver training. He is responsible for training, conversion courses, producing certificates, and health & safety policies. He loves the fact that no day is ever the same, and the great team spirit at Moorgate.
Anthony Barraclough, Field Service Engineer
Tony is a Field Service Engineer at Moorgate. He’s been part of the team since October 2022 and brings with him a wealth of industry experience, after working at a number of different forklift companies throughout Yorkshire.
Tony is responsible for forklift repairs and servicing. He visits Moorgate customer sites around the Yorkshire area to identify and fix issues, carry out preventative maintenance, and ensure our customers have the peace of mind that their trucks are working as they should.
Nathan Dunwell, Field Service Engineer
Despite being a new member of the Moorgate team, Nathan already has a few years in the industry.
Nathan is field based so will spend his days visiting our customers and fleet trucks, he is also LOLER trained so is qualified to carry out servicing and LOLER inspections.
Nathan is extremely partial to a spam sandwich – something the rest of the Moorgate Forklifts family find hard to understand.
