Case Study: Helping Apelson Appliances keep their warehouse moving
We’ve been working with Apelson Appliances UK Ltd since 2023, supplying forklifts and warehouse equipment to help keep their operations moving.
What they needed
Getting a new warehouse up and running can be complicated. Apelson needed the right trucks to handle stock safely and efficiently – as well as the ongoing support to keep everything running smoothly. We’ve worked with Greg Ward, Apelson’s key contact, for years, so when he needed to hire reliable equipment for the warehouse, he knew we’d get the job done right.
What we supplied
We provided eight forklift trucks and two specialist forklift attachments:
- Three articulated forklifts for working in narrow aisles
- Three counterbalance forklifts for lifting
- Two powered pallet trucks to move stock quickly and safely
- One clamp attachment and one double pallet handler for handling different loads
One of the articulated forklifts had a 10-metre mast, which had to be removed for transport. We visited the site to reassemble, making sure it was set up safely and ready to go.
Ongoing support
Our support doesn’t stop once the forklifts are delivered. To keep Apelson’s operations moving, we regularly attend the site to offer:
- Servicing and maintenance to keep equipment working reliably
- LOLER inspections to meet safety regulations
- Battery health checks for the electric forklifts
- Ongoing driver training to ensure the team operates safely and efficiently
